Which perfume house should you choose?
Start with the notes you love
Vanilla, musk, flowers, amber or woods: start with the accords you enjoy. A single brand can offer very different fragrances, so compare the composition of each one.
Consider your mood and the occasion
A fresh everyday fragrance, a gourmand accord or an enveloping woody scent: explore collections according to your taste. Women’s, men’s and unisex labels are useful guides, rather than limits on your choice.
Refine your selection
Check the top, heart and base notes, concentration and size on each perfume page. How a scent develops and lasts varies with the formula, your skin and how you apply it.
Dubai, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia: distinct origins
Not all Arab perfume brands come from Dubai. French Avenue belongs to the Emirati Fragrance World family, while Ibrahim Al Qurashi, now IBRAQ, has its roots in Saudi Arabia. A house’s origins tell its story without defining the style of every perfume it creates.
Your questions about Arab perfume brands
Do all Arab perfumes contain oud?
No. Collections also include floral, fruity, musky, fresh and gourmand accords. Oud is just one ingredient among many: check the notes of the fragrance that interests you.
How can I find a gourmand perfume?
Look for vanilla, caramel, cocoa or coffee notes in the compositions. Compare perfumes from different houses rather than limiting your search to a brand name.
Does a brand guarantee a long-lasting scent?
No. Longevity depends on the formula, concentration, application and your skin. The name of a perfume house alone cannot predict it; each perfume’s notes and characteristics are better starting points.
